Bring a Friend!

Next Wednesday, the 7th of September, is ‘Bring a Friend’ night. It’s the first time we’re encouraging everyone to bring a friend because it’s the day before R U OK day and we believe that exercising with friends can be that opportunity for someone to talk.

So please, if you know anyone who’d love to come down, or if there’s anyone you’ve been bugging to get down, please try extra hard for this Wednesday. We also have a special announcement to make.

Merchandise

Unfortunately, the special announcement will not be about merchandise, but I can assure you that the mechanism for buying Lulu / R4R shirts is established, and that we’re just waiting on the tick of approval from their head office to get a subsidised cost.

With that being said, we have to extend our gratitude to the team at Lulu in the city who have been nothing but supportive of R4R. Thank you.

Reboot in Bermagui!

On Saturday the 1st of October, some R4R runners are heading down to Reboot in Bermagui. It’s a non-profit community event that has everything from a Tug-o-War, an ocean swim, a road-race… and yes… a run!

You’ll need to grab some accommodation quick though! It’s a popular event with limited spots to stay! Julie Rutherford real estate (Mother in-law) helped out with the Australia Day fundraiser earlier this year so it’s only natural she gets a shout out here!

But in the effort to remain fair, you can also book some great places here as well.

The R4R Gift

On the 12th of October, the second R4R Gift will be held! So start your 6 week training program and get ready to go for gold!

Categories are:

Fastest Female / Fastest Female / Fastest Clydesdale (over 100kg) / Fastest Female over 40 / Fastest Male over 40
