R4R has provided the environment for people to meet, now it's up to the people to create the opportunities to connect outside of running.
We have various extended group chats that stemmed from R4R which is also an opportunity to connect outside of running.
You can see people already creating opportunities to connect outside running, like getting social sport teams together, trying to organise a group blood donation, offering tickets to events, plugging local musicians in the group and attendance at shows etc.
Siobhan is right. We need to create more opportunities for people to connect outside of running.

I honestly don't think we need to. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink :)
R4R started the community, the members can create opportunities and people can then choose to participate or not :)
