Research for Resilience
So much of what's happening with Running For Resilience is surreal... including being researched by the University of Canberra! But they need participants - so if you'd like to take part, check out the link here.
Racquet for Resilience 🎾
Come join us for a fun afternoon of Pickleball and Padel thanks to the legends at Canberra Racquet Club! Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned player, everyone’s welcome. The day is completely free — just bring your runners and get ready to connect through a bit of friendly competition.
🗓 Saturday 28 June
🕒 3–5pm
📍 Canberra Racquet Club, 18 Nyrang St, Fyshwick
Frankies at Forde Run Launch
Come on down and join us for the launch of our Forde run!
Not only will we be having a stroll, walk, or run around the lake, but a barbeque bash right after! Come by and kick things off with a run that’s set at your pace and finish things off with a chat over a drink and some barbeque.
The course is set at Frankies, down to the lake, around the lake, following the Gungahlin parkrun course. Hope to see you there!
R4R Community Forum
Join us for an evening of movement, community and conversation.
We’ll kick off at 6pm from The Dock in Kingston with our regular Wednesday Running for Resilience walk/jog/run around Lake Burley Griffin.
At 7pm, we’ll head inside the pub for a community forum focused on real solutions to Canberra’s mental health crisis.
Guest speaker:
Lili Mooney – sharing a short reflection on her experience with Running for Resilience and mental wellbeing.
Panel discussion hosted by:
Thomas Emerson, Independent MLA and Chair of the Assembly’s Social Policy Committee (currently leading an inquiry into men’s suicide in Canberra).
Panellists:
Carrie-Ann Leeson, CEO, Lifeline Canberra
Ben Gathercole, CEO, Menslink
Ben Alexander, Co-founder, Running For Resilience
We’ll finish by 8:15pm with space for audience input.
Everyone’s welcome—come for the run if you’re keen, but definitely stay for the conversation.
