R4R is a shadow of itself without the partners who’ve helped us so far… The Dock, The Jetty, Travla Beer, Two Before Ten, UC, and so many more… but recently, we’ve added another and we couldn’t be prouder!
But before we get started!
The Dock’s SHOUT post Canberra Times Marathon for all runners for Sunday 13th April (*includes all distances, just show them your bling for proof of run/trot/crawl over the line)
Your last chance!
Mont Adventure Equipment is setting up another pop-up store because wDaylight Savings has ended… and we’re going to need more runners with head lamps and reflective gear. If you need some new kit, tonight is your opportunity!
R4R Partners with Menslink
We believe a suicide-free Canberra isn’t possible without them.
We want to champion their work, be somewhere their Mentors can take their Mentees, we want to be a source of new mentors, and somewhere they can train for their Annual Big Walk.
We want other organisations to see them partner with us, so they know they can do the same. Because to make Canberra suicide-free, it’s going to take all of Canberra and all kinds of different people watering their own patch of grass.
When did this happen?
At the Annual Big Night Out at Hotel Realm, Benny and I were honoured to speak to a packed room. As if we weren’t already nervous, the massive projectors positioned all round the hall prompted one too many zipper checks to save embarrassment.
We meant what we said.
To make Canberra suicide-free, we need Menslink…. To keep Canberra suicide-free when we get there, we’ll need Menslink… and to inspire other organisations to join the mission in making Canberra suicide-free, we’re beyond grateful for Menslink.
What does this mean?
We’re not sure where the journey will take us, but we know we’re both heading in the same direction and with the same principles in mind... and if it’s anything like the journey we’ve already been on… we can’t wait.
