Welcome to the 73rd edition of the Meet the R4R Runners where this week, we get to meet Rob. A regular runner, Rob is always great to chat to and if you like your cars, he’s even better to chat to! Rob is organising an event (that you can read about in his answers) and we’re eager to get behind him. We view each and every runners efforts into our community as their donation, and whenever we get an opportunity to give back, we’re in! So, without further ado, let’s meet Rob!
What is your name?
Rob Taylor

Canberra Born and bred
What's your favourite thing about Canberra?
You're never more than 30 minutes away from somewhere quiet that feels like the middle of nowhere, and generally has a great trail running through it!
How did you hear about R4R and when did you first attend?
Facebook, but like every event it took me a long time to get to my first one
What's your favourite thing about R4R?
Its relaxed social nature, It’s not about who comes first, it’s about coming along and being involved.
You do something called Canberra Sevens Day, can you elaborate on that?
Canberra 7s Day is Canberra's premier Japanese, Rotary, and Mazda event, we get together to be around people with the same interests as each other and raise some money for Menslink at the same time.
What do you love about it?
Canberra 7s Day is organised by enthusiasts for enthusiasts
How can people get involved?
Come along to CIT Fyshwick on Sunday 9 July and have a fantastic day for a fantastic cause.
Are you planning on taking part in any races or events soon or are there any just gone?

Which three people (alive or dead) would you like to run 6km with?
Nicky Hayden, 2006 MotoGP world Champion, His love of life was infectious.
Alife (my Puppy) but he gets 200m into the run then sits down and doesn't want to run any more and will make me carry him for the final 5.5km.
Everyone who holds me accountable and pushes me to be the best version of me I can be.
What does resilience mean to you?
I think you guys have hit the nail on the head, Just. Keep. Moving, and that doesn't necessarily mean running.
When you look back on the hardest moment/s in your life, is there anything you wish you could have told yourself?
There is someone out there who has been through what you are going through now and is willing to help, you just need to start talking.
Thanks, Rob!
