Strolling for Resilience (S4R) turns one tomorrow.
Strolling is an opportunity for anyone to attend R4R whose schedule doesn’t suit the 6:15 AM or 6:00 PM starts. Naturally, it suits parents with young kids, as well as retirees looking to stretch the legs.
If you’ve got kids, you know how foggy those years are. Constant noise, consistent need for attention, and an uncanny ability for kids to find themselves in the most unlikely scenarios… usually involving plenty of wet wipes…
You’d also know that at times, it can get lonely.
Strolling gives parents reprieve from the ridiculousness and the loneliness. Offering the opportunity to get outdoors and see new or familiar faces… none are more familiar for Strollers than Maria and Jane.
These two are the driving force behind strolling and S4R wouldn’t be turning one without these ladies. If you’ve been fortunate to walk with them any given Thursday, you’d know why we’re so lucky to have them.
Haven’t walked with them?
You’re missing out.
Both of them are just about the nicest people you’ll ever meet and both of them have done so much more for R4R than Strolling. I know I speak on behalf of the R4R community when I say that we’re incredibly grateful.
Thank you, Ladies.
